Top 10!

It's always interesting when I get a call from a new client, or someone inquiring about my services. It's a chance for me to showcase what my most popular services are, as well as what I enjoy most about my job- relieving stress, giving back time, and being able to actually see progress being made.
If you've checked out my website, you already know that the list of services I provide seem endless, and everyone always asks "How do you do it all?" My answer is simple; not everyone uses all the services listed on the same day, and I am excellent at time management.
However, as part of my 2012 business plan, I did go over what my most popular services were and created a fun little list.
10. Personal Shopping/Gift Wrapping: as you would probably assume, around the holidays, this is one of the most popular requests. Many people don't want to fight for a parking spot, stand in line, or wrap the gifts. I work with several senior citizens and they love being able to give something to their family to unwrap and take home.
9. Event Planning: while I started this company with the vision of going into event planning, the market and my client base had a different vision for me. While I've helped put together many successful events (birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, holiday dinners), it's not the volume I expected- but it still allows me the same satisfaction!
8. Dog Walking/Pet Care: every busy woman might need a wife, but every four legged dog really needs a walk! Having my own rescue dog at home, I understand the importance of exercise and playtime spend with your pet.
7. Errand Running: my company is called "Errands Etcetera," so it should only be natural that errand running make the list- otherwise, I'm in the wrong business! I'm always happy to wait at the RMV, go to the grocery store, pick up a red box movie, and drop off your shoes to the cobbler.
6. Filing/Data Entry: a few months back I had to give a presentation to a roomful of local businesses; focusing on how they could best utilize my services. The feedback I got was amazing. Being a business owner myself, I know how many different hats I have to wear on a daily basis; and while I dream of someday having an assistant, I know that right now, it's not in the budget... imagine having someone you could hire once a month, or twice a quarter just to help get "stuff" done... oh wait... that's ME!
5. Social Media Help: I don't know exactly when it happened... but I somehow became South Shore Women's Business Network (www.SSWBN.com) social media guru. Perhaps it's because I'm savvy with the online presence and have build some great connections and clients using FaceBook (www.FaceBook.com/ErrandsEtcetera) and Twitter (www.Twitter.com/ErrandsEtcetera), regardless of how it happened, I've helped several of my clients create their own online presence and made the world of social media a little easier to navigate.
4. Cooking: my true passion. I could spend all day in the kitchen (and I have). There's nothing I find more joy in than cooking a meal that smells and tastes absolutely delicious, while keeping the element of freshness and healthy eating designed in the ingredients. I love cooking for my clients- which is why I created my "Dinner's On Service" (www.ErrandsEtcetera.biz/Dinner.html)- but if you're out of the area code for that or have a special diet or menu I'm happy to put together some sort of personal cooking package for individuals as well!
3. Laundry: this should not be a surprise to anyone. Most of my clients are of the Single, Working-Mom world. Having a job, home, and children- there never seems to be enough time in the day; especially time to do laundry!
2. Organizing: home or office, people are looking for ways to make their lives flow more efficiently and easily. When your spaces are organized you're not wasting time looking for things, or stressing out over where you thought you left something.
and finally... the #1, most asked for service is... (drumroll please)...
1. Housecleaning: this should not be a surprise (http://errandsetcetera.biz/House_Cleaning.html). For 2.5 years I avoided housecleaning for clients, I didn't want to turn into a housecleaning company- but the difference is, and my clients can really appreciate this is that Errands Etcetera doesn't just come in and clean your house. We clean and do errands for you- so if you need us to pick something up on our way over, or help out in another way, we're more than happy to say yes!

Stacy, I always enjoy the creativity and enthusiasm you Offer. Highly recommend your meals. It was great to have you provide a meal for one of my neighbors who was recovering from a hip replacement. Since I didn't have the time to prepare a meal for her, it was great to know that I could reach out to you. By the way, they raved about the meal - chicken with lemon.Continued success!
All the best,
Connie
